The entanglement is exposed: Former US President Donald Trump is heard acknowledging that he has secret documents as he presents them to his colleagues, who do not have proper security clearance.

In the recording, seen by the US news network Filter, the former president is heard talking to his advisers more than a year after losing the presidential election and leaving the White House. Trump spoke with his advisers about accusations by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley that the former president pushed for an attack on Iran.

The former president is heard flipping through some pages and telling his advisers, "With Millie. Look at it, I'll show you here. It's amazing how many of these things there are. Look, that's what the Department of Defense presented to me. It's off the protocol. It's not something I did. This is what he did. Page upon page of it."

Trump can be heard flipping through the pages. "It's amazing. That totally means I'm winning this case. Except for the fact that this is highly classified confidential information. Look at this. It's amazing," the former president told aides. Both Trump and aides seem to be aware that this is problematic because one aide accuses presidential candidate Hillary Clinton of a similar offense. "She probably would have printed it from her emails," the aide is heard saying, to which Trump responds, "and sends it to Anthony Weiner. The assistant is heard laughing.
