In a serious car accident that occurred Wednesday evening on the Jordan Valley road (90) near the village of Auja, 6 people were injured, 1 of them in critical condition and 5 in serious condition. MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene gave the wounded medical treatment and they were evacuated to the hospital for further treatment. Firefighters worked to rescue two people trapped in the accident.
Reshef Tomer Bachar, deputy shift commander: "Upon arrival at the scene of the accident, we identified two private vehicles at a distance from each other. This is a difficult and challenging scene when one of the vehicles is overturned and two people are trapped inside, and beyond that, other injured people, including children. The force of the severe impact was visible on the vehicles, and their engine parts were scattered at the scene. We immediately began operations to rescue those trapped using dedicated hydraulic tools. At the end of the rescue, the trapped people were transferred to medical authorities."
