Looking like nothing, drawing after drawing, he spent his life drawing an uncompromising portrait of our French society over seven decades. This is precisely what strikes the amateur when he visits the exhibition, room 14, of twenty works of the father of Petit Nicolas, in Drouot, for the first sale organized since his death.

"We were lucky to have been contacted recently by someone very close to him, in a direct line. Being part of the artist's family, this person was in possession of a magnificent collection, which he wanted to put up for sale, says Pauline Ribeyre, the auctioneer of the Baron Ribeyre firm.
