Confessional interview for Cédric Grolet. The star pastry chef confided in the columns of GQ about his hair transplant, performed two years ago. Not stingy with details about what pushed him to take the plunge, he explains his decision: "I had the gulfs and what bothered me was this subway ticket effect. I kept my hair a little longer to cover this surface. It was my complex."

Cédric Grolet performed his operation in France and not in Turkey - a country that specializes in hair transplants for men and applies very affordable pricing - after talking with a patient who made this trip and whose transplant was, according to him, failed. After visiting several clinics, he explains that he favored the criterion of dialogue: "Obviously, we can not do everything but I really did not feel listened to. Initially, I wanted a straighter and square front line like Mbappe, but we found a happy medium after talking. Making a transplant is also really a question of support and not only know-how, even if it is essential, "he judges thus.
He repeats, he does not regret his decision: "I am really happy to have done this transplant. It doesn't hurt so much and if it can make you feel better, don't hesitate." With his 12 million cumulative followers on TikTok and Instagram, he attributes his media success to this surgery, which gave him enough confidence to expose himself: "Finally it has become a major tool in my work that allows me to be more comfortable in my communication. Today, I shoot videos that have millions of views on social media and I couldn't have done it before. My transplant has contributed to this success for the Cédric Grolet brand because I feel good."
A beard transplant
Now the thirty-year-old explains taking care of himself: "I brush my hair! Me! My girl hallucinates when she sees this. I take better care of my hair today with better products and I take dietary supplements every day." He even admits to having repeated the operation with a beard transplant performed recently: "I had two small holes and everyone told me that it should not be done it is useless, but I am a little boring on the details. I went all the way."
