Koh Samui is drying up: Thailand is one of the most sought-after and visited countries among tourists from Israel. One of its favorite islands is Koh Samui. Many Israelis are expected to visit this summer, but the area may be declared a disaster zone.
The reason for this is a severe water shortage, such that quite a few local residents say that in recent days there have been hours without water in the taps. Lately, there has been very little rainfall there, which has caused the same water shortage.

At the same time, very large numbers of tourists visit Koh Samui, which causes water consumption on the island to be very large and exacerbates the crisis created there.
Thai authorities have asked locals in Koh Samui to use as little water as possible to prevent Koh Samui from becoming a disaster zone. Locals hope it rains soon to save the situation of one of Thailand's most beautiful and most visited islands.
