On Friday evening, a RATP driver was threatened by a passenger, armed with a pair of scissors and a screwdriver, who wanted to board the bus.

The driver of a RATP bus line 105 was attacked Friday night while he was at the stop "mairie des Pavillons-sous-Bois". It is about 23:20 p.m. when a man, armed with a bicycle, arrives at the door of the bus and tries to get into the vehicle. The driver tells him that it is forbidden to ride a bicycle but the cyclist does not hear it that way.

An altercation then broke out and the passenger took out a pair of scissors and a screwdriver, with which he threatened the driver, at the same time as he insulted him. In circumstances that are still unknown, the RATP driver manages to control the passenger until the arrival of the police who arrest him and place him in custody. Aged 28, the man was still there this Saturday noon.

"The driver was taken care of by his hierarchy and a complaint was filed," said this Saturday the RATP, which "strongly condemns this aggression and gives its full support to the agent".

In recent years, insults and violence against bus drivers or between passengers have become commonplace in Île-de-France, gaining momentum with Covid-19 and the wearing of masks imposed in transport. Attacks on bus drivers have also increased.
