At its weekly meeting on Sunday, the government is expected to approve an increase in support for government institutions at a cost of NIS 164 million, all as part of the implementation of coalition agreements.
About NIS 20 million of the NIS 164 will be transferred to white midrashim, yeshivas near the Gaza Strip and religious institutions that encourage military service.

The government and Torah Judaism are saying tonight that this is not an addition, but rather funds promised in advance that have not been transferred so far because of gaps in the treasury's calculation and implementation.
Minister of Settlement and National Missions Orit Struk responded to the increase in the budget for support for girls' midrashim, saying: "We see tremendous value in teaching Torah for girls, and therefore on the eve of the elections we promised both the students and the heads of the seminaries to increase government support for this learning. Tomorrow we will be able to fulfill this promise. Because what you choose, that's what you get."
