White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan confirmed Friday evening that US President Joe Biden will meet next week with Prime Minister Netanyahu at today's General Assembly in New York.
Sullivan said that during the meetings, the leaders would discuss "the democratic values shared by Israel and the United States," as well as the issue of the Iranian threat.

When White House press secretary John Kirby was asked at a press briefing last Wednesday about a meeting between Biden and Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly, he replied, "I don't have a meeting that I can announce right now." This followed reports of the planned meeting.
