Ramat Hasharon Mayor Avi Gruber announced Tuesday that he will not run in the upcoming mayoral elections next month. "The role of mayor is a great responsibility and should be treated as a mission. I feel that at this point this chapter in my public mission is over," he wrote.
"I have worked hard to justify your trust. It was an amazing experience and a dream come true to be the mayor of the city where I grew up and lived all my life. My successor will lead the city into its centennial year and inherit from me a full basket of future plans that are in various stages of advancement, and I hope they will all be realized," he added.
