The police arrested a suspect from Jerusalem following a video that ran online in which he made serious threats against a police officer, cursing and threatening to harm him and his family, including "Come and see what I will do in your childhood." Today (Wednesday) he will be brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for an extension hearing.

The video, which ran on social media, led the Yarkon District police to open an investigation and locate the important man, a 37-year-old resident of Jerusalem who is suspected of being filmed in the video, and arrest him for interrogation.

An additional investigation is underway against the suspect for suspicion of similar statements against the same policeman and his family that occurred only a few weeks ago during a protest at the Kaplan Junction (on 30.8.23), when the statements allegedly included the statement, "Let's hurt the policemen, let's slaughter them."
