Initial report of a stabbing incident in Jerusalem at the Givat HaMivtar light rail station a short time ago (Thursday). Preliminary details indicate that a security guard at the scene sustained minor injuries. The assailant was neutralized. Great forces in their way.

A spokesperson for United Hatzalah - Jerusalem District said: "United Hatzalah medical teams are providing first aid at the scene of an unusual incident at the Givat HaMivtar train station in Jerusalem."

MDA Spokesperson's Office: "At 21:02 P.M., a report was received at the Jerusalem District Hotline about a stab wound at the light rail station in Givat HaMivtar in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus, a man in his 20s in light condition who is fully conscious."

MDA emergency medic Haim Blech said: "The injured man was at the train station fully conscious. We were told that he had been attacked by the terrorist and had sustained minor injuries to his hand. While he was fighting the terrorist, a policeman on the scene assisted him and neutralized the terrorist. We gave the injured man medical treatment and evacuated him to hospital in light condition."

Moshe Erblich, a United Hatzalah medic who arrived at the scene first, said: "I gave him first aid while stopping the bleeding. He was then taken to hospital in full consciousness and at this stage his condition is defined as mild."

Earlier today there was an attack at the entrance to Jerusalem. A terrorist fired at security forces at the Qalandia crossing tonight – two young men, aged 22 and 24, sustained minor injuries and were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for medical treatment. The security forces returned fire and managed to eliminate the assailant.
