Highlights: Likud MK Nissim Vaturi thanked US President Joe Biden after Biden's historic speech. Six months ago, he strongly attacked the United States and referred to the days of the Obama administration. "Israeli soldiers were killed 'thanks to' the US embargo in Protective Edge", he said. "If they think they really support Israel, care about us, and the relationship we have built above everything, then it turns out that they are not above everything," he said in an interview with 103FM.

Nissim Vaturi thanked the American president • "This is how a true friend of Israel behaves" • Last March, however, he strongly attacked the United States and referred to the days of the Obama administration, when Biden was vice president: "Israeli soldiers were killed 'thanks to' the US embargo in Protective Edge"

Even he was excited: "This is how a true friend of Israel behaves," Likud MK Nissim Vaturi tweeted after US President Joe Biden's historic speech.

"Thank you very much America, thank you very much President Biden!" tweeted Vaturi.

But just over six months ago, Vaturi said something else. After President Biden criticized the legal reform and claimed that "Israel cannot continue on this path," Vaturi attacked the US president in an interview with 103FM.

"If Israel has to defend itself and the U.S. doesn't like it very much, we'll do it ourselves. Israel has been doing operations day and night against the Iranians for years, both without the United States and with them. If we have to defend ourselves, we will do it without the United States."

He added: "In Operation Protective Edge, Obama (whose vice president was Biden) decided to impose an embargo on Israel, Israeli soldiers were killed 'thanks to' this embargo. Sometimes it happens that the president of the United States does not always toe the line with Israel, and that's okay. But if they think they really support Israel, care about us, and the relationship we have built above everything, then it turns out that they are not above everything."
