The academic year at universities will be postponed to November 5, 11, due to the war in Gaza, several academic institutions, including Tel Aviv and Ben-Gurion universities, announced on Thursday.
The school year was supposed to begin in mid-October, but the University Heads Committee announced during the week that it would be postponed to the week of October 22, but now several institutions have announced another postponement to the beginning of November.

Tel Aviv University wrote to the students: "In the shadow of the security situation in the State of Israel, the mobilization of the reserves and the great distress in which many of our friends find themselves, the university administration has decided to postpone the start of the academic year to 5/11/23.

"We will continue to update on other aspects of the academic schedule in accordance with developments on the ground."
