The IOC suspended the Russian National Olympic Committee "with immediate effect" for placing several organizations in the occupied Ukrainian regions under its authority. The Russian Olympic Committee no longer has the right to operate as the National Olympic Committee and cannot receive any funding from the Olympic movement.
