The price reductions at discounters and supermarkets are piling up. Now Lidl is once again offering some products at a lower price – this time from its own brands.
Lidl is lowering its prices again! Both flour and various tomato products from Lidl's own brands are now permanently reduced. The food retailer's price reduction does not come as a surprise: many products have been cheaper since the beginning of the year. HEIDELBERG24 reveals more about this and which products can now be bought cheaper and at what price.
Flour and tomato products will be cheaper at Lidl
This time, flour and tomato products are affected by the price reduction. For example, the kilo of wheat flour type 405 from Lidl's own brand "Belbake" is 14 cents cheaper and is now available on the market for 0.65 euros.
In addition, the 240 gram cans of chopped tomatoes and also the 500 gram packages of strained tomatoes, both from the own brand "Baresa", will be reduced from 0.85 euros to 0.79 euros. This reduces the price per kilo to 3.29 euros and 1.58 euros respectively. The 200 gram tube of tomato paste triple concentrated will also be 10 cents cheaper and will now cost 1.19 euros instead of 1.09 euros.
Lidl already reduced prices before
Since the beginning of 2023, Lidl has already been lowering prices in Germany for a wide range of products from a wide variety of product groups. Noodles, for example, were reduced by 20 percent at several discounters in May. This time, the discounts apply to products from the food retailer's own-brand range.
Just recently, veggie products became cheaper at Lidl. This decision was announced after meat products became cheaper at Aldi. As a result, Lidl adjusted the prices of its vegetarian alternative products to invite customers to try them and help shape the transition to more sustainable nutrition. (db)
