"If you want to keep winning, you have to have the best bike. And Marc Marquez wants to win again."
The Spanish champion's farewell to Honda, after 11 years, is reminiscent of that of Giacomo Agostini, who in 1974, having left his beloved MV Agusta, got on Yamaha to obtain as many world titles in two seasons, in the 350 and 500 classes, the last of the 15 collected in his career.
"It must not have been an easy decision to leave a giant like Honda, the manufacturer of the engine that dominates in F1.
Marc asked for precise guarantees to become competitive again and it is clear that he did not have any - adds Agostini to ANSA - I took the opposite path: from a small company that churned out 50 bikes a day I went to a giant that produced thousands. But it was also difficult for me because I was leaving my second family."
