Board of governors, but launch not yet established (ANSA)
The ECB's Board of Governors has given the green light to phase two, i.e. the preparatory phase, for the digital euro, although a decision on whether or not to launch it has not yet been made. A note from the central institute points out that the investigation phase launched in October 2021 has been closed. The decision on the launch will be considered once the European Union's legislative process is completed
