Highlights: Gambian expelled close to ISIS, 54 away in 2023. He was expelled today, in execution of a measure signed by the prefect of Cosenza, Ousmam Sillah, a 28-year-old Gambian who landed in Italy in 2016. Investigations revealed that he had attended an ISIS camp in Libya and had been sentenced by the Court of Assizes of Naples to five years in prison for participation in the terrorist organization. This brings the number of people expelled from Italy this year to 54; 712 since 2015.
