It is "a wrong manoeuvre" and "as far as we are concerned, we are ready to go on a general strike". This was said by the leader of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, at the end of the assembly of the confederation.
"A wrong manoeuvre that does not protect wages and pensions, that does not introduce the minimum wage, that does not fight tax evasion, that does not tax income and profits, that cuts public health and education. They had to cancel the Fornero law, they worsen that law, no one goes there anymore. It does not erase the precariousness that particularly affects young people and women: therefore we must continue the mobilization to change it," Landini argues, adding that he agrees with the proposal made yesterday by the UIL "to take to the streets, hold demonstrations and proclaim strikes, this is what we are ready to discuss."
