A few trumpet notes kept the audience at the Zénith de Rouen (Seine-Maritime) waiting on the evening of Tuesday 17 October. Chet Baker? John Coltrane? No, songs by Pascal Obispo... in a jazzy version. To celebrate "thirty years of success", the 58-year-old singer surprises once again. After a symphonic tour and another with rock accents, he is now in a big band with jazz saxophonist Max Pinto as artistic director. Ten musicians, including a brass section, and two backup singers were the first to take the stage. Behind the scenes, Obispo presents them one by one. Only three have ever played with him, including his partner of three decades, guitarist Sam Stoner.
