Tonight, between Wednesday and Thursday, the IDF carried out a targeted, unusual and extensive ground raid by infantry and armored forces in the northern Gaza Strip.

The raid was extensive and at greater depth inside Gaza. The objective of the raid was to attack Hamas targets from the Gaza Strip and strengthen the defense. The defense establishment says that this is a more extensive operation than the raids carried out so far in the past two weeks inside the Gaza Strip.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, IDF forces under the command of the Givati Brigade entered northern Gaza Strip with tanks as part of preparing the area for the next stages of fighting. As part of the activity, the forces located and attacked many terrorists, destroyed terrorist infrastructure and anti-tank positions, and carried out work to organize the area. The forces left the area at the end of the mission.
