France on Friday demanded explanations from Israel after a strike hit the French Institute in Gaza, the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued Friday afternoon.
"We have asked the Israeli authorities to communicate to us without delay by the appropriate means the tangible elements that motivated this decision," the Quai d'Orsay said, adding that no French agent or national was on the premises of the Institute.
