Political battles: Turkey has decided to recall its ambassador to Israel in light of Israel's war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Turkish media reported on Saturday. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in the shadow of the decision that "Netanyahu is no longer someone we can talk to."
Erdogan's comments came a week after Israel said it was "reevaluating" its relations with Ankara because of the harsh rhetoric of its president, who said during a rally in Gaza that Hamas was not a terrorist organization and even referred to its terrorists as "freedom fighters."

Last week, Jordan, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile announced they were recalling their ambassadors to Israel for consultations. It should be noted that the Israeli ambassador to Jordan and the embassy staff were transferred to Israel immediately after the outbreak of the war, after severe demonstrations broke out near the embassy building in Amman, and an angry mob called for attacks on the embassy staff.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat said of the move by Bolivia, Colombia and Chile: "Among the victims of the Hamas terrorist attack are citizens of Colombia, Chile and other Latin American countries. They must not toe the line with Venezuela and Iran, which give a tailwind to the Hamas terror organization."
