Benny Gantz, chairman of the state camp and a member of the war cabinet, comes to the defense of the Israeli population in Judea and Samaria and says that many of those killed in the battles came from the settlements in Judea and Samaria. Gantz spoke last night at a digital briefing for American Jewish leaders.
Gantz to American Jewish leaders: "I succeeded in persuading my friends in the United States not to use the term 'settler violence'"
"I succeeded in persuading my American friends not to use the term 'settler violence.' Because 99% or more are people who obey the law."
According to Gantz: "They live in their settlements, drive on the roads, and the fallen and high numbers of soldiers come from their communities, just as they come from other communities. I don't want to sleep under the rug. There is a small extremist group that carries out operations against Palestinians. We are working against them through the police and the security service."
Israel Hayom revealed that, contrary to claims coming from the United States and the defense establishment, in the month since the outbreak of the war, there has been a 50% drop in the number of violations of the law by Israelis in Judea and Samaria.
