Two alerts in two days at the Léonard-de-Vinci comprehensive high school in Levallois-Perret. After Thursday's bomb threat, which led to the evacuation of some 1,700 students from the school and the cancellation of classes all afternoon, a new malicious call was made on Friday morning, this time announcing the intrusion of armed individuals.
Police, who were in the area, responded to conduct security checks throughout the facility. The doubt was quickly dispelled without the need for containment or evacuation.
"There is the question of intentionality in the choice of target, due to the presence of a strong Jewish community, and this climate of anxiety is starting to spill over to the other schools in the city," said a source close to the matter.
Other schools in the department have also been targeted by malicious calls announcing bomb threats. Thursday, first at the Léonard-de-Vinci vocational high school, in Bagneux, around 9:30 a.m. According to our information, no evacuation was necessary.
On the other hand, some 2,000 students had to be evacuated shortly after 13 p.m. from the Lycée des Métiers Santos-Dumont in Saint-Cloud. As in Levallois, classes were cancelled all afternoon.
