Five U.S. soldiers have been killed in a refueling plane crash over the Middle East, the Defense Department said Sunday. The incident occurred last Friday on November 10.
"During refueling as part of the exercise, a U.S. plane carrying five fighters crashed into Mediterranean waters as a result of an accident," EUCOM said in a statement.
The U.S. military said there was no evidence of hostile activity that caused the crash.
