LeBron James had one of his best games of the 2023-24 season against the Portland Trail Blazers last Friday. The 38-year-old matched his season high with 35 points in what was also his 108th game with 30 or more points in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform.

The performance seemed to excite LeBron, as he used it to attack his critics, especially those who questioned his motives for joining the Lakers in the 2018 season. At the time, quite a few people accused him of moving to the City of Angels more to build his media empire and make movies in Hollywood, and less to play basketball.

In an Instagram post featuring his impressive stat line from that game (38 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists), James attacked critics, sarcastically writing, "But I came just to make movies."

But the truth is that aside from his good ability on the court, "King James" really does shoot movies, it started when he starred in the sequel to Michael Jordan's legendary "Space Jam." And as a pen, LeBron is reportedly hanging out with a cameraman who documents every moment of his life, in what might be a docu-film similar to "The Last Dance," the docuseries made about the same Jordan.
