Aidan Platt, an Israeli-American web star and model, stunned the internet and went viral in the past 24 hours after uploading a video to her Instagram account of a simultaneously horrifying and moving display she held in Los Angeles in order to raise awareness of the abductees of the "Iron Swords" war, especially one abductee, observer Naama Levy.
In Platt's video, she is photographed wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants with blood stains on it, similar to what Levy wore in the shocking video that went viral from the events of October 7, in which she is seen being led in a jeep by Hamas terrorists.
In the video, which "received" almost five million views on Platt's account alone, the reactions of passersby on the streets of Beverly Hills stand out, some were shocked, some understood the context and shouted things like "Am Yisrael Chai" and others, as a metaphor for what is happening in quite a few places in the world - chose to cover their eyes.
In a text attached to the video, Platt wrote: "If it's hard for you to look at it in Los Angeles, imagine what it's like to live like this in Gaza. More than 80 girls and young women have been held captive by Hamas for more than 47 days. They suffer mental, physical and sexual abuse. These barbaric crimes are happening as we speak, and during this time all the activists for women's rights have remained silent. Where are you? They are desperate and need you. How can you be silent?"
