In an unusual announcement published this morning by the Nature and Parks Authority, the authority warns of flooding in the streams of the Judean Desert and southern Israel. The flooding will continue at least until tomorrow, inclusive, according to their official statement.

"It is strictly forbidden to enter riverbeds on foot or by car until the water level completely drops – life threatening! It is forbidden to approach the bank of a stream during a flood for fear of the collapse of the bank," the Nature and Parks Authority said in a statement.

The closed routes are: Closed routes:
Arbel – the cliff tracks are closed due to rain, the lookout track is open.
Caesarea – the passage between the port and the theater through the hippodrome is closed
Ein Gedi – closed to visitors except for a short route in Nahal David and a short route in Nahal Arugot. The Old Synagogue is open as usual.
