Following the publication in Israel Hayom, Yesh Atid faction chairman and opposition coordinator MK Merav Ben-Ari referred Wednesday morning to the vote on approving the state budget in its first reading in the Knesset next week: "The opposition will fight this bad budget, with all the tools at its disposal, including full mobilization of MKs in the plenum."

"The budget that is supposed to be raised in its first reading next week confirms the implementation of 80% of the coalition funds," she said, "This means that NIS 4.8 billion will be allocated to coalition needs, sectoral needs, such as yeshiva budgets, raising the budget of the rabbis and educational institutions that do not teach core curriculum (because don't forget that tradition is more important than studies, according to Amsalem), and more. In the end, this is a sectoral looting budget at a time when the entire economy is in economic collapse.

"The role of the opposition has always been to work to bring down the budget, because that's how a government falls. These days, when all the money is supposed to go solely to dealing with the needs of the war, our role is twofold."
