On Saturday night, police and Border Police forces sealed the homes of the families of terrorists from Sur Bahir who carried out the murderous shooting attack in Jerusalem in which Rabbi Elimelech Wasserman (73), Hannah Ifergan (67) and Livia Dickman (24) were murdered and seven other Israelis were wounded, some of them in serious condition.
After the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the demolition of the terrorists' homes. After the order was issued last night by the General Inspector General, Jerusalem District police forces and Jerusalem Border Police soldiers, assisted by an IDF force, worked tonight in the Sur Baher neighborhood of East Jerusalem to seal the homes of the families of the terrorists who were killed.

The terrorists, brothers Ibrahim and Murad Nimr, carried out a shooting attack at a hitchhiking station at the entrance to Jerusalem, killing four civilians and wounding others.
Increasing activity since the attack
The sealing activity is part of increased police activity in Sur Bahir since the attack, carried out in accordance with instructions from the political echelon and the police commissioner, and after approval of plans by the Jerusalem district commander. This includes increasing ongoing security activity, arresting terrorist targets, terrorist supporters and rioters, and other activities for the sake of public safety and security.
Before the sealing of the terrorists' homes, the houses were seized by police and Border Police forces, after their residents were evacuated and their contents removed. Tonight, all the entrances to the houses were sealed after receiving the necessary permits, and in accordance with the confiscation and sealing order.

The operational activity ended without exception, and the homes of the terrorists' families were evacuated and sealed. At the same time, the police are working with the relevant authorities to advance the process of house demolitions as soon as possible.
It should be noted that immediately after the attack, eight members of the terrorists' family were detained for questioning at the Jerusalem Medical Center and the Shin Bet, and their connection or involvement in the attack was examined. Four of them were detained at the end of their interrogation and will be brought to court during the day with a request to extend their detention. The investigation of the attack is ongoing by the Shin Bet and the Jerusalem Police Department.
Meanwhile, the investigation of the shooting attack by the Jerusalem District Central Unit, the Shin Bet and the Military Police continues. Yesterday, the detention of two suspects - relatives of the terrorists - was extended, and investigators continue to examine the extent of their involvement in the attack and terrorism in general.
