Assuming that all Israeli citizens on all sides of the political map hold a similar view to his, Idan Raichel attacked the Red Cross on Monday night when he called for the expulsion of its representative from Israel. In a scathing and critical text posted to his Instagram account, he defined the organization as a biased and unfair "transportation service" and claimed that its presence in Israel had no value.

"After so many weeks, can we already make a united and joint declaration by the left, right and center and declare the Red Cross representative in Israel a persona non grata (persona non grata) at least until the end of the fighting and the return of the last of the hostages?" asked Reichel. "It doesn't seem that the Red Cross is doing anything for Israel and for our innocent abductees in Gaza, who were kidnapped in violation of all international law and are victims of war crimes by abducting them," he said.

He went on to attack further, noting the hypocrisy that the Red Cross displays in its conduct vis-à-vis Israel. "The Red Cross functions for us only as a transportation service for released prisoners only between Hamas and the Rafah crossing. And in between, they dare to criticize us for the prison conditions of terrorists who have committed, caught, tried, convicted, imprisoned, and receive treatment and lawyers, etc., and dare to go on hunger strike when something doesn't seem right to them."
Reichel then posted another story in which he added a kind of Hebrew pun on the logo of the organization "The Red Cross of shame."
