Two months after SWAT fighter Alex Shmalov was killed in battle with Hamas terrorists who took over the Sderot police station on October 7, his sister, Yulia Shmakalov, married her choice on Wednesday.
The wedding was planned to take place even before the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war and Alex's death, and it was postponed – and as mentioned, took place last night.
The person who accompanied the happy couple down the aisle was none other than singer Idan Amedi, Alex's friend z"l, who took a short break from his reserve service to attend the happy event. Amedi performed Zohar Argov's song "The Flower in My Garden", and there is no doubt that he managed to make a bride and groom happy.
