An ugly incident took place Saturday evening at Habima Square in Tel Aviv. Several dozen people who participated in the march towards the hostage square attacked a Chabad man who had erected a Hasidic menorah there. As a result, police were called to the scene.

Guy Cohen, who witnessed the incident, said: "I am shocked by what happened. There are Chabad members lighting a menorah in Habima Square, and suddenly the procession came towards the abductees' square. They pounced on him and turned over his table, turned off his music and screamed at him. They shouted to him: 'What dare you light candles here?', 'You parasite', 'What are you coming here?', 'Go to work' and more.

Poor thing, he tried to explain to them that it's Hanukkah and he lights candles like Chabad does in Gaza. They said, 'They are thieves,' referring to the ultra-Orthodox. They said: 'We won't let them celebrate here at the expense of our children's blood.' Luckily, police arrived. It was just disgusting."
