The IDF's ground effort in the Gaza Strip continues: new documentation published today (Saturday) by the IDF Spokesperson reveals the intensity of the fighting in the crowded alleys. The footage shows fighters from the Nahal Brigade's 931st Battalion attacking an ambush set by Hamas terrorists in the Jabaliya neighborhood until the terrorists were eliminated.

As part of the fighting by the Nahal Brigade and the forces attached to it in the neighborhood, fighters of the 931st Battalion received information about the presence of terrorists and weapons in nearby buildings. The terrorists anticipated the arrival of the forces from the central axis in the sector - and the footage shows the arrival of the Nahal fighters through the alleys of the neighborhood, to the enemy's rear, in a shootout with the terrorists until they are eliminated.

The terrorists prepared an ambush in the same area and were prepared to attack our forces as they passed through the main route for traffic. The force came through one of the alleys in the enemy's rear, surprised them and fired at the terrorists who were at the point. The terrorists fired at our forces and threw grenades. The gunfight continued until the terrorists were eliminated.

As part of additional encounters that took place during the day in Jabaliya, additional terrorists were eliminated by Battalion fighters in face-to-face encounters, alongside a number of terrorists who were eliminated by tank fire and the direction of a remotely manned IAF aircraft by the brigade combat team.
