Netanel was one of the main volunteers at Zichron Menachem, the Israeli center for supporting children with cancer and their families. He regularly visited children in hospitals, guided camps and donated platelets.

When he was in tenth grade, he volunteered at the MDA Jerusalem station. His friend Noam eulogized him on Facebook: "Rest in peace, dear and beloved brother. There are no words to describe your immense heart. That huge smile that doesn't matter where or when was smeared on your face."
