Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg-Ikar said as she left the family's condolences: "I heard the inspiring story of Tomer, who fell defending our country, and one eye was not left dry. Tomer, the salt of the earth, went into battle to defend the State of Israel, while his sister was also drafted in Order 8. Heroic warriors are the sons and fallen of the land."
Colonel Yitzhak Alfasi, commander of the 179th Brigade, wished to send the brigade's condolences to Miara's family. "We strengthen the battalion's fighters and commanders. We will continue to act with professionalism and determination to carry out the mission, until its completion and the restoration of security to the people of Israel," he said.
