The woman is hospitalized in a Buenos Aires hospital with a risk of life. It happened on 2600 Yerbal Street, a few meters from Plaza Flores.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for running over his girlfriend with his truck after an argument, so the woman had to be transferred with multiple traumas to a hospital in the area, where she is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning on 2600 Yerbal Street, a few meters from Plaza Flores, when neighbors called the police because a young woman was fainting on the road.

The young woman, who did not respond to stimuli and showed wounds on her knees, was accompanied by her boyfriend and sister.

As a result of the victim's state of health, a SAME ambulance went to the scene, which transferred her to the Piñeiro hospital with a diagnosis of "fainting without recovery and polytraumatism".

The young woman's boyfriend said he was with her in his Ford Ranger truck after leaving a party. As they traveled, they began arguing and he asked the girl to get out of the vehicle.

When the woman got out, the young man continued with his march in the truck but, according to him, he stopped and reversed after noticing that his girlfriend had forgotten her wallet in the vehicle. He said he reversed the Ford Ranger and saw his girlfriend lying on the floor.

The main hypothesis of the investigators is that the woman held on to the vehicle after the driver of the truck started the vehicle again.

Police spokespersons confirmed that as of this morning the woman is hospitalized in the health center with risk of life, and that she remains with mechanical respiratory assistance.

The young woman has fractured hip and elbow, as well as a subdural hematoma, a left pneumothorax and severe multiple traumas.

Meanwhile, at the scene, the police performed a breathalyzer test on the woman's boyfriend, which was positive as he had 0.32 grams per liter of alcohol in his blood.

Faced with this situation, the prosecutor of the West Flagrancy Unit, Ezequiel Gradella, ordered the arrest of the driver of the van. Subsequently, he ordered a series of expert examinations to determine whether it was an attempted femicide.

In the last ten years in Argentina there is an average of one femicide every 30 hours.
