(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, DECEMBER 18 - The Boston Celtics remain unbeaten at home, Giannis Antetokounmpo the best rebounder in the history of the Bucks and yet another defeat for the Spurs despite a double-double by Victor Wembanyama on NBA night.
Winners over Orlando (114-97), the Celtics extend their home record to 14 wins with zero losses, thanks to a Jaylen Brown who scored 17 of his 31 points in the final quarter. Jayson Tatum scored 23 points and Kristaps Porzingis scored a double-double (15 pts, 10 rbds), allowing the Celtics to beat the Magic twice in three days. The Celtics had racked up four straight losses to the Magic, before beating them last Friday in a win that Brown called the biggest of the year.
Boston continues to dominate the East Conference (20 wins, 5 losses), ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks who ended the Houston Rockets' five-game winning streak (128-119). With 17 rebounds, Giannis Antetokounmpo became the best rebounder in Bucks history (7165), ahead of legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (7161). The "Greek Freak", who also scored 26 points, forms an offensive shock duo with Damian Lillard (39 pts, 11 passes).
Victor Wembanyama's Spurs surrendered heavily to the New Orleans Pelicans (110-146), despite another good individual performance by the French.
