This is the "fair price" set by the elected representatives of the Eau du Sud Francilien* joint syndicate to buy drinking water from Suez, supported by François Durovray, the president (LR) of the Essonne departmental council and president of the Val d'Yerres Val de Seine. They voted unanimously for these deliberations at a union committee meeting held on 15 December in Évry-Courcouronnes. However, this does not mean that the bills of 1.4 million users living in Essonne, Seine-et-Marne and Val-de-Marne will go down. Because the multinational group does not intend to let this happen.

"All the deliberations adopted to date by the joint syndicate and its members concerning the unilateral fixing of the wholesale purchase price of water have been appealed by Suez before the administrative judge with a view to their annulment," the Suez group said in a laconic response.
