Money suitcases, combat equipment and a fake ID card: IDF spokesman in Arabic, Lieutenant Colonel Avichai Edrei, posted on the X network (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that during an IDF activity in the Gaza Strip, suitcases of money were found alongside a fake ID card and combat equipment apparently belonging to the commander of Hamas' northern brigade, Ahmed Ghandour.

"Why were suitcases of money and fake ID cards discovered by former Northern Brigade commander Ahmad Ghandour? Where was he planning to escape?" wrote Lt. Col. Edri.

In the same documents, Ghandour appears as "Hisham Ibrahim" which appears with spelling mistakes in Hebrew. It is also emphasized that he is married, Muslim and was born in August 1967. In the suitcases themselves were found shekel and dollar bills.
