A 30-year-old Haifa resident was arrested on Monday on suspicion of presenting himself as a plumber and fraudulently collecting large sums of money for his work from elderly or disabled customers, in some cases even stealing credit card and bank account details from customers and withdrawing tens of thousands of shekels from them.

Haifa police officers have been conducting an undercover investigation for several months regarding the receipt of a number of complaints from residents of Haifa and the Krayot on the matter. The intensive investigation led to the discovery of the suspect's identity, and the station's detectives arrested him and brought him to the police station for interrogation, at the end of which he was imprisoned.
