It is important to note that some of them were simply at events with him or mentioned by him. Epstein was convicted in 2018 of sex crimes, and Maxwell was suspected of aiding and abetting him and engaging in sex trafficking for him. In 2020, she was arrested by the FBI on these suspicions.
