According to him, the IDF has not yet begun an investigation, although there are people engaged in planning such an investigation and building ahead. He clarified that the army thought that the investigation into the mistaken shooting of the three abductees had an impact on the war, and therefore it was carried out while it was taking place.
He added that he was asked a lot about when was the right time to start investigating. But this matter has not yet been decided. Halevy also said that the IDF will decide when the investigation will take place. He added that so far between 4-5 investigations had been conducted during the war. He stressed that this is not a national or strategic policy of Israel, it is a professional investigation by the IDF - about readiness and readiness. He added that this is an internal military matter, and that in the future there will be an investigation in the chain of command and external observation designed to examine the army, not the national level.
