A 25-year-old man was trapped Friday morning under the front of a light rail car on the Haim Bar Lev route in the Ammunition Hill area of Jerusalem. He was rescued by a team of firefighters and handed over to MDA forces in fair condition with multi-system trauma.

"We were told of a man trapped under the light rail near Ammunition Hill.
We arrived within a short time, and using a dedicated rescue system, we rescued him from under the train and transferred him to MDA for treatment while he was in fair condition," said Rabbi Reshef Oren Avrahami, shift commander at the HaUma station, who managed the incident.

"The Jerusalem District Fire and Rescue Service trains extensively on rescuing and handling emergency events on the light rail and in a variety of scenarios, this is reflected in routine and emergencies," Avrahami added.
