A 70-year-old scooter rider was killed Saturday morning when hit by a vehicle on Highway 2, near the Or Akiva interchange. MDA medical teams that arrived at the scene located the man with no signs of life, with multi-system trauma, and pronounced him dead.
MDA paramedic Assaf Tapuach said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the driver of the scooter lying unconscious on the road, without a pulse and without breathing, suffering from a multi-system injury."
He added: "We carried out medical tests but his injury was critical and we had to pronounce him dead."
