MK Kati Shitrit (Likud) told the families of the abductees on Monday that she understands "how your world has suddenly turned upside down." She explained during a Knesset debate: "I was rushed to surgery, the recovery is very long - I can't get dressed, I can't shower, I can't do things I did before."
Two weeks ago, Shitrit posted an update on her Facebook page about the surgery, writing: "In the last few hours, I prepared to give a speech as a representative of the Likud faction in the Knesset plenum, which convenes for a special session on behalf of the abductees and abductees. Unfortunately, due to an emergency surgery that I have to perform, I am unable to speak, I am publishing this here because the issue of abductees and abductees is paramount and paramount."
Sheetrit's strange statement joins the words of Likud MK Boaz Bismuth, who said two months ago that to the mother of a kidnapped: "If I arranged to speak to my son at 13:00 P.M., and at 13:07 P.M. he still doesn't answer, I go crazy with worry, so I understand what you're going through."
