Mourning is heavy in Hod Hasharon with the news of the fall of Capt. (res.) Ron Efraimi, 26. Ron was a combat engineering officer in the Yahalam unit. He was killed on Monday in a truck bombing incident in the central Gaza Strip.

Ron is survived by his parents, Yehudit and Shmuel, and two brothers, Omri and Gal. He was a graduate of Ilan Ramon High School in Hod Hasharon, where he studied music.
