Florian Kinast "Man, Emperor!"
Franz Beckenbauer has been riding the wave of success for decades: he won the title of German champion, European champion and world champion in his playing career. In 1990, as coach, he led the national team to triumph at the World Cup. As head of the bidding committee, he brought the 2006 World Cup and with it the legendary summer fairy tale to Germany. But suddenly, accusations of corruption are raised, involving the purchase of votes in the awarding process and the mysterious disappearance of millions of dollars. The biography "Man, Emperor!" takes a detailed look at both sides of Franz Beckenbauer.
It's quiet around the emperor. Who is Franz Beckenbauer really? Florian Kinast portrays the most important personality in German football, tells of great successes – but also of the dark sides that have always existed in the life of the shining light.

In this photo-heavy book, author Christoph Bausenwein traces the career of the "Kaiser" – from the waddle that brought him to FC Bayern, to the European Cup treble with the "Reds" to winning the World Cup as DFB team boss. And of course, the emperor's cars, fashion and wives are not neglected in this witty retrospective.
