Three of the four IDF fighters killed Monday in the Gaza Strip fell in two separate incidents.
One fighter was killed following an unexplained explosion in a truck transporting explosives to destroy tunnels in the Bureij Island neighborhood in the central Gaza Strip.

The tunnel they wanted to blow up was found by Golani and the 188th Battalion with several shafts 30 meters underground. Inside the tunnel was the largest lathe found to date, which included a factory for the manufacture of long-range rockets, explosives, precision mortar shells, IEDs and drones.
The IDF is investigating whether it was human error, technical failure or a roadside bomb. An officer and two fighters were also wounded in this attack, including singer Idan Amedi.
The other two fighters were killed in another incident that took place yesterday in the southern Gaza Strip, in which an anti-tank missile was fired at reserve engineers from the Paratroopers Brigade.
